On Monday, August 5, at 5:30 pm, Walden Village held a poolside event for Dorcas Abell’s 100Birthday!!The celebration was very well attended by over 50 people, including Dorcas’sfamily. Food and cake were plentiful and the rain held off. The board and social committee andmany residents were instrumental in helping plan, set up, decorate, and coordinate this event. Itwas great to work together to honor and celebrate our amazing and inspiring Dorcas !

President's Report I wish to say thanks to the previous Board members (Rob Lagergren, Diane Forsyth, and Carole Terlik) who resigned in August and to Karen Sangiovanni who stepped off the Environmental Committee. Fortunately, we had two residents step up to fill two of the Board vacancies: Lorraine Deyo, and myself. Lorraine also agreed to take over the Environmental Committee. From Rob Lagergren, President: Let There be Light! After years of submitting repair requests to the city, the three streetlights have finally been repaired across from the mailboxes. It is now much safer to pick up your mail and walk by the retention basin in the dark.
